I might not be a fan of the Millennium trilogy, but that doesn't stop me being interested in Steig Larsson and the enduring (and to me mystifying – 51 million copies worldwide!!) popularity of his plodding crime thrillers. That's a puzzle that's not solved by this Paris Review article, but I enjoyed it all the same.
