Reading this makes you want to rush off to Le Gavroche and order the sole meunière. Or better yet, rush off to Paris. Our book club enjoyed Julia Child's memoir: it scored 73. Full reviews here. The one slightly Eeyore-ish criticism we had was that it's a bit too upbeat, making it a nice, cheerful read but not contributing much in terms of any kind of narrative tension. Nonetheless, a hugely enjoyable and inspiring book.
