I came across lots of beautiful printed things in New York, some of which made it back with me. Cousin Corinne's Reminder is a new journal of writing, photography, some poetry and comic strips. I love the cover – to me a little bit F. Scott Fitzgerald Tender is the Night…
Simply designed, slightly along the lines of The Believer (of which I'm a fan) but more gentle & unassuming – maybe because it's their first issue.
It turns out Cousin Corinne is the publishing imprint of BookCourt, a Brooklyn bookshop. I like the idea of bookshops publishing their own things.
By the way, some lovely work from Mark Borthwick, one of their featured photographers.
