So my current preoccupation is shelves, as we are shortly, most excitingly, to get some for our no-longer-very-new house. I'm ashamed to say it has been over a year before we've got around to doing anything serious about our storage problem. As a person who quite likes things to be neat, it has been seriously depressing to have all my beloved books cluttering up the place to the point where I've considered getting rid of the lot of them.
So, I was amused when flipping through The Independent Design Guide, by the appropriately named Laura Houseley, I came across Chris Kirby's 'Clutter Shelf', a shelf that 'adapt[s] to the cluttered nature of the way we live, rather than forc[ing] us to keep our lives neatly arranged in tidy square boxes'.
But I have this already, I thought!
Have a look at his clutter series here. I actually love his products. But they are definitely not what I need right now. I want this
